The countdown is on for the release of All Eyez On Me; a chronicle of the life of rapper, Tupac Shakur.
Tupac Shakur was an American rapper, songwriter, actor, activist and a fashion icon. He dominated the airwaves for many years before his death on September 13th,1996 only three months after his twenty-fifth birthday. Known for his profound lyrics, Tupac shared his thoughts on race, poverty, human rights, love, hopes and many more causing fans across the globe to relate to his songs to this date. Tupac was one of the best rappers and remains a Rap Legend today.
In honor and celebration of the late rapper’s life, here are five fashion picks that we love about Tupac Shakur:
The Nose Piercing
It can be argued that Tupac Shakur was not the first person to have a nose piercing but it is without doubt that he was the first rapper to do so effortlessly and fashionably which later paved the way for rappers today to carry on the trend!
The Bandana Style
Noticeably everyone within the Entertainment Industry during the 90s Era were all free-spiritedly creating their own creative looks and signature styles. One of my favorite is the bandana knotted on the front; the style in which Tupac wore his. Personally, when I think of a street style or a casual denim outfit, a bandana styled as a hair accessory often comes to mind, special thanks to Tupac!
The Button Ups and Cartier Frames
Truthfully, not everyone can rock a buttoned up shirt and still look undeniably attractive except for Tupac. Without a doubt, Tupac was a fan of button up and frames especially the Cartier frames giving the preppy to a thug vibe.
The Denim Overall
The 90s Era was probably the breakthrough for denim; from the oversized denim jackets to the denim overalls which happened to be one of Tupac’s favorite and signature styles. Tupac even created his own denim overall accentuated with his famous slogan, “THUG LIFE”.

The leather vest is hands-down an original and easily identified signature style of Tupac. He’s even wearing a leather vest on the cover of his album, All Eyez On Me!
